The US State Department has released the final batch of emails from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private computer server.
The release has brought the total number of emails that were withheld or censored for containing information now-deemed classified to more than 2,000.
The department released the concluding set of around 1,700 emails on Monday, a day before Clinton competes in Super Tuesday contests for the presidential nomination.
Clinton has been criticized for using her private server to exchange work emails with officials when she was Secretary of State.
The latest batch contained a message about Japan’s reaction to the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il in December 2011.
About 30,000 work emails have now been released since last May.
The Republican Party is questioning whether her actions undermined information management. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident.
Attention is focused on whether the controversy affects Clinton’s presidential campaign.
